Our Commitment to Integrity
Every piece of content you find on AC Shooting School starts with a single question: is this useful, accurate, and trustworthy for the shooter who relies on it? That question guides our editorial decisions from the first draft to final publish.
We do not accept payment for positive reviews. We do not publish content that has not been verified by someone with real trigger time. And we never compromise our standards for speed, ad revenue, or manufacturer relationships. Our editorial policy exists to make that promise explicit.
Who We Are and What We Do
AC Shooting School is an online resource built by and for practical shooters. We cover:
- Firearm reviews based on hands-on range time, not spec sheets
- Training and skill-building guides written by certified instructors
- Gear recommendations that prioritize function over fashion
- Range and facility evaluations from a shooter’s perspective
Our audience includes new shooters looking for their first handgun, experienced competitors refining a reload, and everyone in between. Every article is created with that range of readers in mind. For more background on our team and mission, visit our About Us page.
How We Research and Write
Our editorial process rests on three legs: hands-on testing, expert input, and reliable sourcing.
Hands-on testing. We do not review firearms we have not personally fired. Whenever possible, we put multiple rounds through a gun in realistic conditions—holster work, malfunction drills, accuracy benchmarks—before forming an opinion. Gear reviews follow the same principle: if we recommend a chest rig or a cleaning kit, we have used it under actual range conditions.
Expert input. Every article that touches on technique, safety, or legal considerations is reviewed by at least one certified instructor or experienced shooter on our editorial team. We do not publish advice that we would not feel comfortable giving to a student on the line.
Reliable sourcing. When we cite data—caliber performance, state laws, manufacturer specifications—we link to primary sources or publicly available documentation. We avoid anonymous tip-ups and secondhand claims.
Corrections and Updates
The firearms industry changes: new models release, laws get rewritten, and older gear becomes obsolete. When we become aware of an error or outdated information in our content, we correct it promptly and note the update at the bottom of the page.
If you find something that does not seem right—a factual mistake, a broken link, a claim that no longer holds—please let us know. Send a note to [email protected] with the page URL and a brief description of the issue. We treat every correction request seriously.
Affiliate Disclosure and Advertising
Some of the links on AC Shooting School are affiliate links. If you click one of these links and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. This helps us cover range fees, ammunition costs, and the time required to produce honest content.
Affiliate relationships do not influence our editorial decisions. We do not accept sponsored posts, paid reviews, or “placement fees” from manufacturers or retailers. Any product we feature has earned its place through performance, not payment.
